Life is Strawberry-ey

Why are strawberries so great?

I love them.

My Favorite Fruits:
(Ranked in order of Awesome)

1. Mangoes
2. Strawberries
3. Peaches
4. Cantaloupe (That's fun to say. Go ahead. Say it out loud. Right now.)

I could eat them all day.
Today was a kind of crazy day.
Lots of ups and downs.

But at least it was sunny.

Listen to my song of the day.
It will make you smile.

Go eat a strawberry! :)

I Never Meant to Cause Any Trouble

Something funny happened today.
Except, it wasn't really that funny.
It was more of, "oh, just my luck." funny.

I got in trouble.
Like,

HUGE trouble.
But I'll have to tell what I did some other time since how I have Pre-Calculus homework to do.
Anyway...

I now have to ride the bus.
Yeah.

Until the end of the school year.

Everyone,
just be good.

The Universe is against me;
always.

Last Night ♥

It was wonderful.

My date, was wonderful.

It rained.

Which, even though it was freezing, was wonderful.

I am proud to say that being assertive produces fantastic results.

But,

it's not a big deal. :)

Flibbertygibbet

I have this feeling.

This feeling that rips through my torso so suddenly that it takes my breath away.
But not in a good way.
It hurts.
It tears me apart.
It makes my eyes water.
It makes my heart numb.
It makes me nauseous.

Perhaps it makes me endure all of those things because it is a combination of so many different feelings. It's an amorphous rag-tag group of rebels that insist I cannot be happy.

Rage, Jealousy, Hopelessness, Longing, Heartbreak, Sadness, Nostalgia, Depression, Loneliness...they all try their hardest to hit me at the most inopportune moments.
But the problem is, I let them come into my life. I welcome them with open arms like old friends. I ask them how they've been and they sneer jeeringly. They smirk and ask me in return why I have any reason to be happy. Why do I deserve to smile. Why in the world am I even worth the time of anyone. But, in spite of all of this, I greet them with smiles and accept them. I accept them because they help me remember.

With all the tears and awful pains, they remind me that what I had before,

it was real.

In other news:

I have the greatest father in the world.
You cannot argue.
He is the best.
He just is.

In the Quiet of the Library

In the quiet of the Library,
you hear the typing of keys,
the turning of pages and
the nervous knocking of knees.

There is a rush to get a computer,
and be the first to finish, and by
skipping class to do homework,
you can feel all anxiety diminish.

The students are less than sociable,
as they have assignments to do,
In the quiet of the library,
you can hear me being quiet too.

Eh, Only You.

Sometimes I think that I am living proof that idiocy is alive and well in America.
I do some funny things.

Example:

Like, how the day that I had piano, I showed up at my teacher's home and she wasn't there. I walked back to my car while dialing my mom on my phone. I set my piano books and sheet music on the car and of course, she didn't answer. I kept dialing her to confirm that I didn't have a lesson today and finally just got into my car and made an effortless u-turn back towards my house. I pulled into my garage and suddenly realized I didn't have my music on my lap. Oh, it's probably just in the back seat. Because that is where I toss everything right?

Wrong.

It wasn't until I got out of the car, and placed my hand on top of the hood that I realized, Oh hey, your music was here a second ago.

Shoooooot.

I ran into the house, screamed, "I have to go back! I left my music in the street!" at my father before driving frantically back to my teacher's house.

When I reached the turn onto the road before teacher's house, I noticed a bunch of napkins in the road.

That's weird. Oh, wait. That's my music.

I parked in a stranger's driveway and proceeded with utmost humiliation to gather up all the music and books that had surprisingly made it all the way down the street before scattering. Then, to make everything even more awesome/humiliating/just perfect, a car came down the road and the lovely girl in the passenger seat came out to help me.

At least I had my cool sunglasses on. That made me feel so much better. (heavy sarcasm)

Example:

I was watching one of my best friend's doorway scenes before she went to another high school's prom and they needed me to take a picture with his camera and so I went forward to take it, not before running right into this lamp thing in the front yard and killing my knee and tripping in front of her family, her date, and my cousin. It seriously popped up out of nowhere! I didn't see it at all...

Example:

I was playing Just Dance 2 (otherwise known as the greatest game on the Wii besides Zelda Twilight Princess) and my friends home has a slanted ceiling.
I was under that lovely ceiling.

The dance was called, "Jump. Jump."

So I jumped.

My head, hit the shutters of the window on that beautiful, slanted ceiling.
I honestly didn't feel anything.
All I heard was the noise of my head smashing into the shutters.
Then I couldn't see for a couple of seconds.
Then I couldn't stop laughing.
Then,
for the rest of the evening, my head was throbbing.
But, it was fun.

Anyway,

these are the moments I treasure. Because really? They all happened within like three days. This weekend in fact.

On a good note:
My date and I won the bowling competition on Saturday night.
It was great.

How about you have your own moments, just less painful alright? :)

The Expression of....

I write.

It is something that I have done since I could clasp a pencil in my small, sticky fingers. When I was younger and had no words to express what I wanted to convey, I would draw squiggly lines all over the page and pretend that I was writing.

It is what I do.
It is the expression of what I feel, but more than that, it is the expression of what others feel but cannot illustrate for themselves.

I have had friends tell me that what I have written is exactly how they felt, they just didn't know how to say it.

I don't know what fate's plans are for me, but all I know is this:

I will write.
Wherever I am.
Whoever I am.
And I will be published someday.

Everyone,
Find a dream.

Live it.

Katherine
