You should be well aware that most girls use their blog as a place to vent. I am no different. And this day was
awful.
Let us begin shall we?
It all started when I woke up.
It was gray and dreary outside, I woke up feeling sick, as in, my throat was so sore I couldn't talk, and my head felt like someone shoved stuffing in every available opening.
I had to walk to to bus stop, I had just survived the busiest weekend of my life, I
knew that this week was going to be incredibly stressful, my hair wasn't working out, I was kind of dressed like a boy (it was wear your favorite band t-shirt day today and I felt less than feminine as it was a black t-shirt), I forgot to bring bagels for Journalism, I am behind on my
350 point project in Web Design, in U.S. History I ran out of water and my throat decided to become all dry and crackly and felt like it was scabbing over. We watched movie clips about Presidents in a warm, dark room and my stuffy head was swimming as I tried to stay awake. I couldn't eat lunch because I had eaten only candy in all my previous classes. By 4th period I was just ready to put my head down and disappear in a hole for the next month. After school I had to wander around to the surrounding neighborhoods and warn them about Cavestock that is on Friday and my allergies were
slaying me as the cotton just kept flying. I hitched a ride home with my soul sister whose happiness is only contagious for so long when one insists on being so pessimistic.
Then I came home to my mother saying,
"We need to talk." Which is quite possibly the worst phrase in
any language. She and I then had a conversation about my math grade which lead to questions like, "Who are you? I don't even know you anymore!" and "Are you depressed?" After trying to explain to her that when a teenager is stressed, questions like that don't help, I had to go help my friend study for our President's test tomorrow. I drove to the library and called almost every single friend I wanted to talk to about how sucky everything was going and
NO ONE ANSWERED.
We studied at the library for about an hour and a half and I fell asleep on my backpack for about 10 minutes and then I had to go home.
As I'm walking out of the library I see a white piece of paper stuck to my windshield. It said,
"You need to learn to park :("I kid you not. Angry face and everything.
I was like,
"ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME????!!!!"
None of my friends answered their phones the long way home either. I've never felt so thoroughly alone before.
I went home and complained to my mom and asked why people could be so mean. I mean, I leave notes on people's cars that say "Good luck today!" or "Smile!" and I drop pennies all over the ground in hopes that I make someone else's day lucky...Why the cuss do people have to be so rude!?
Then I went upstairs to change into my sweats and upon entering my room, I stepped on one of my favorite pairs of earrings and spent 5 minutes building up the courage to yank it out of my aching foot.
I am currently typing a 5 page research paper after completing a 6 page math packet. Oh, just remembered, I have a test on everything we've covered the entire year in English tomorrow.
Joy.
Worst Monday I have ever, ever, ever, ever experienced.
It takes it all. The gold medal, the biggest trophy, the cake, the largest "I Hate Life" ribbon in history.
No love and the most negativity I can muster,
Katherine
